Jaipur boy tops JEE Advanced
The results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), conducted for admissions to to India’s premier engineering institutions, was declared on Sunday.
Aman Bansal from Jaipur emerged as the topper of the exam, while Bhavesh Dhingra from Haryana secured the second rank. However, IIT Guwahati told students that getting a rank in JEE Advanced 2016 would not ensure their admission into any IIT or ISM. The top 1.5 lakh qualified candidates in the JEE Mains Exams have appeared for the advanced exam. Among zones, Bombay leads with 8,810 successful candidates.
The JEE Advanced Rank List 2016 has going to release on its official website on 12 June 2016 by the organization. Candidates have to satisfy the subject-wise as well as the aggregate qualifying marks to be included in a rank list. IIT Guwahati is the organising institute for JEE 2016.
The long wait for the results of the JEE-Advanced 2016 is finally over.
The answer sheet of each paper of JEE (Advanced) 2016 is a machinereadable Optical Response Ssheet (ORS).
Of the candidates who have qualified the JEE (Advanced), 25 belonged to PIO category. It will be conducted on June 15, 2016, at the zonal IITs only.
Foreign nationals, including PIO and OCI card holders, are also eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2016.
Aman Bansal had scored 98 per cent marks in Class 12 with 100 per cent marks in Chemistry and 99 per cent marks in Mathematics.
This year, with the addition of four new IITs, the total number of seats has gone up to 10,575 from last year’s 10,006.
