Jamaal Charles released by Chiefs — NFL free agency
But in my mind, regardless if Adrian is here or not here next year – because of whatever happens – he will always be a Minnesota Viking.
The running back was originally drafted in 2007 by the Vikings with the seventh overall pick out of Oklahoma.
Peterson might not be done with the Vikings, who are interested in bringing him back at a reduced price. “The ball is in the Vikings’ court”.
Unless Peterson is willing to play for less than a third of his salary past year, he won’t be signing with New England. In 2016, he suffered another knee injury, and while he has proven his ability to come back from surgeries, the years are adding up.
Peterson went on to a stellar – and injury-riddled – decade in Minnesota. “But I also know the coaches do a great job of understanding what the strengths and weaknesses of the players are and trying to adjust the schemes to that as well”. Spielman said. “I believe in just putting everything up front and on the table”.
The offensive line remains a concern for the Seahawks and, if it can’t get fixed this offseason, some veteran help at running back couldn’t hurt. I can see Adrian Peterson, following a similar path.
Adrian Peterson #28 of the Minnesota Vikings warms up on field before the game against the Indianapolis Colts on December 18, 2016 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Cowboys Vice President Stephen Jones also told Machota that the team is not looking to sign big name free agents this offseason. “The only way it won’t work out is if the Vikings lowball him”.
“If it fits, if it’s clean”, McAdoo said. It was just the eighth game of his career.
Peterson will be 32 when Week 1 comes around this fall, and has basically missed two of the last three seasons for the Vikings.
Teams will have interest in the 32-year-old Peterson, who is just one year removed from leading the National Football League in carries (327), rushing yards (1,485) and rushing touchdowns (11). He also said about the defending champions, “If it’s New England, then New England”.
Peterson seems to have his eyes on several teams. This makes Peterson an unrestricted free agent on March 9.
If Peterson does leave Minnesota, he’ll join a team that he feels can contend for a title.
