James Bond actress Gemma Arterton divorces husband
Mercurial Gemma Arterton provided the spark that sold Tamara Drewe to cinema audiences, and she’s the main attraction again in this latest Posy Simmonds adaptation.
Arterton, 29, who starred in the James Bond film “Quantum Of Solace” alongside Daniel Craig, was granted a decree nisi at a brief hearing, which neither she nor Stefano attended.
Based on the evidence, as stated in the paperwork, a judge then found that Arterton was “entitled to a decree of divorce, the marriage having irretrievably broken down, the facts being proved being two years’ separation by consent”. “It’s sad, but her marriage is over”, a friend told The Mail at the time, revealing that the couple made the mutual decision to go their separate ways a couple of months ago.
Fox filed for divorce on Friday (21Aug15), just days after news of her separation from the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star spread. Arterton plays Gemma Bovery (the on-screen title initially withholds the “G”), a restless Brit who decamps to bucolic Normandy, where her life imitates that of literature’s most infamously bored housewife.
