James Corden, Julianne Moore & John Stamos Created A Soap Opera With Taylor
The three stars acted out The Bold and The Lyrical, and they were only able to speak with lines from the singer’s famous tunes. The scene opens when Corden, donning a ridiculous black pompadour wig, saunters home one night with a weak explanation for his whereabouts: “I’ve been cruising”.
With so much tension going on, Moore finally states,”Never mind, I’ll find someone like you”.
At one point, Moore and Corden went back and forth with lyrics from “You Belong with Me”.
The hammy exchange of spoken song lyrics – about as cohesive as a real soap’s plotline – escalates to Moore slapping Corden and commanding him to “Shake It Off”, followed by a rejected marriage proposal set to the lyrics of Swift’s early hit “Love Story”. Stamos enters 2/3 of the way through the dispute, as another man on Moore’s “long list of ex lovers [who’ll] tell you [she’s] insane”.
James stands up as John takes on the role of the voice of reason as he says: ‘Tonight is the night we forget about heartbreaks and dress up like hipsters and make fun of our exes because I don’t know about you but I’m feeling 22’. “Grab your passport and my hand”, Stamos adds with a glimmer in his eye. After all, Bad Blood does make for a pretty catchy series.
And “Late Late Show” fans were loving it, too.
