James Corden pays tribute to Orlando victims at 2016 Tony Awards
“Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda tearfully dedicated a sonnet to the Orlando massacre victims at the Tony Awards Sunday night. And The Color Purple’s Cynthia Erivo rounded out the night by winning Best Actress in a Musical. Naturally, the anticipation was high for the musical’s performance during the Tony Awards broadcast.

Among the other actors who won were Frank Langella ( The Father ) and Jessica Lange ( Long Day’s Journey Into Night ). And Barbra Streisand made a rare appearance to present Hamilton with the last of its awards, best musical, as the evening closed.
