Lady Gaga’s vocals into a different mic went off without a hitch, prompting Hetfield to eventually abandon his mic and run over to Gaga’s. “Ladies and gentlemen, and all my gender-non binary peeps watching tonight, eight-time GRAMMY Award winners and six-time GRAMMY Award victor, Lady Gaga!”.
Despite some mic problems, Lady Gaga and Metallica did a killer performance at the 59th GRAMMY Awards. It was nice to see Mariah’s tech get another job to be fired from, I suppose.
With the lead singer being outshone (mostly from everything f***ing up for him), it’s doubtful the band will really want to play second fiddle to Lady Gaga. Gaga paired her Metallica tee with chained leather shorts and basically what looks like a fishnet body suit underneath.
The group’s singer James Hetfield could not be heard at the start of their rendition of their recent hit “Moth Into Flame”, after his mic stopped working.
Even though there were some technical difficulties during Gaga’s set with Metallica, Gaga kept it cool and continued to sing in her rocker-inspired apparel. During her tribute performance for David Bowie at the 2016 Grammys, she also dressed up as the rock icon.
Plus, if her Instagram page is any indication, Gaga was clearly amped to be playing with Metallica at tonight’s show.
Technical glitches continued to plague the GRAMMYs. According to Loudwire, Hetfield previously used Metallica’s fan club magazine to address his band’s need to succeed. Tuning Room Grammy style.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Metallica will perform in Orlando for the first time since 2003 as part of its 2017 world tour. Behind them was a insane pyrotechnic showing, and the crowd was loving it.
