James leads Cavs to 8th straight win
Langston Galloway padded the lead with a layup and finally a short floater in the lane with just 4.5 seconds remaining in the quarter.
Williams’ jumper put the Cavaliers ahead 86-84 with 40 seconds left and his four free throws in the final 18 seconds sealed the win.
James said the Cavaliers were playing well, but needed to improve to be great despite the 8-2 start.
James, who prior to tip-off paid homage to the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris, scored 12 of his 31 points in the final period, including several spectacular shots, as the Cleveland Cavaliers rallied to defeat the Knicks 90-84 on Friday. Center Timofey Mozgov chipped in with 11 points and forward Kevin Love added 11 rebounds for Cleveland. He finished 9 of 20 from the floor.

We’re just continuing to develop a will to win, no matter how it looks, whether the score is 70-70 or 100-100, we just need to find ways to win”. Cavaliers SG J.R. Smith came into the game shooting just 25 percent (4-for-16) on 3-point attempts this season, well behind his career rate of 37.1 percent.
The Knicks outscored Cleveland 23-11 over the final seven minutes of the first half to go in front 53-46.
James used Saturday’s loss as an opportunity to rip his team’s play despite the 8-2 start to the season.
A tough early schedule threatened to wipe out the Knicks’ season nearly before it began, but they have been able to pull a few positives out of the sub-.500 record.
As the Cavaliers prepared for their morning shootaround, a worker removed DraftKings signage from the court, believing it was a national TV game – the NBA has a deal with rival daily fantasy site FanDuel.
The Cavs will practice Monday before traveling to Detroit for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons and James conceded he’s curious to see how the players will respond.
