James-led Cavaliers rally past Hornets

Cavaliers Player of the GameLeBron James had a dominant night for the Cavaliers with a team-high 25 points, 13 rebounds and five assists in the Cleveland win.

19th in the points category – joined the exclusive company and surpassed Norm Nixon (6,386) into 25th position after assisting Cavs team-mate Kevin Love for a three-pointer in the second quarter.

In the match against the Magic, Kevin Love scored 27 in the first half for the Cavs, now 8-0 at home and an Eastern Conference-leading 11-3.

Andrew Nicholson scored 18 and Evan Fournier had 13 points for the Magic.

The Cavs entered Monday with a 10-game winning streak over the Magic, their longest current streak against any team. In the final 5:31, he scored seven of his 11 points.

As Charlotte’s primary defender in previous seasons, forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s (out for the season after shoulder surgery) presence might not solve Charlotte’s rebounding issues, but it would improve.

Rookie center Jahlil Okafor led the 76ers with 25 points, but Philadelphia remains in search of their first win of the season and dropped to 0-15.

Coach Stan Van Gundy said after that game that Drummond was fine. The senior swingman scored a season-high 24 points in the Cyclones’ 83-63 win over Chattanooga on Monday, canning six three-pointers.

The team had seven turnovers and made just one of 14 3-point attempts in the second half, and were outrebounded by 12, which ultimately helped led to their downfall.

You may be thinking that a players-only meeting is not needed because it’s only one game and the Cavs should just move on after taking a deep breath.
