Janet Jackson postpones ‘Unbreakable’ tour, citing surgery
“It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring”.
In a message posted to her Facebook page, Jackson told fans she has to undergo surgery and is postponing her “Unbreakable” Tour until the spring.
Jackson said every date will be rescheduled and told fans to hold on to their tickets. No new dates were announced.
The sister of the late Michael Jackson was supposed to start the 2016 leg of her “Unbreakable” tour in Colorado as scheduled in January 9. There will be no further comment.
In 2008, the 49-year-old Jackson cancelled a string of concert dates after developing migraine-associated vertigo. I adore all of you so much and am ever thankful for your comprehension and your adoration.
Jackson began her tour on 31 August in Vancouver, playing across North American along with several dates last month in Japan. She didn’t disclose what type of surgery she is having.
The death of the King of Pop had led Janet Jackson to retreat from the public eye, although she returned with a global tour in 2011.
