Japanese swordsman cuts down 100mph fastball
Master swordsman Isao Machii is back!
Well, put a trained Samurai in a batting cage with a sword… and you’re likely to get different results.
Unfortunately, Machii, who’s called a “modern samurai”, lives in a time when he can’t show off his blade mastery by using it to drown the countryside in the blood of his enemies.
Standing just 30 feet away from a pitching machine, it takes him milliseconds to react when a ball comes shooting out at 100mph.
The video has gone viral and is sure to give Machii, a master of the sword-based martial art, laido, a legion of new fans.
The end of the video shows the action in slow motion- the only speed most people can see the moment when the sword slices the baseball.
Before making headlines for slicing a baseball in half that was traveling 100 miles per hour, he once sliced a single shrimp in half that was travelling 80 mph.
This is by far the best thing you’ll watch all day.
