Jason Aldean Wore Blackface for Halloween Costume

The news is pretty odd from Aldean, considering that he is an artist working under to Jay Z’s Tidal music service, which Lil Wayne also does business with.

Blackface makeup is commonly considered highly disrespectful in today’s society; however, according to a Huffington Post / YouGov poll, 55 percent of Americans say they’re okay with people wearing whatever they want on Halloween, even if it may be offensive to others.

Unfortunately, Jason isn’t the only star who’s worn a controversial costume for the holiday. Complete with fake dreads, a red bandana, shades and a giant dollar sign necklace, it’s Jason’s choice of skin darkening that is raising eyebrows.

The Nashville Gab recently published an image which it claims shows Aldean, his wife and friends posing in their Halloween outfits.

A representative for Jason Aldean said that the country star dressed as Lil Wayne for Halloween, after a photo surfaced of Aldean wearing blackface makeup and a wig with dreadlocks.

“I think the biggest thing is, you know, obviously there was things going on in my marriage at the time where it just wasn’t really happy”, he told US newswoman Robin Roberts. Sound off in the comments forum below!
