The perks of courtside seats at a Cavaliers-Thunder game are great until LeBron James crashes into you and sends you to the hospital.
Day claimed his maiden major in August at the US PGA Championship before claiming the world No. 1 ranking off the back of wins at The Barclays and BMW Championship. The couple has attended Cleveland games in the past, and she was pregnant with their second child when they went to an exhibition game earlier this year in Columbus. The Thunder got 27 points from Kevin Durant, 25 and 10 assists from Russell Westbrook, and 23 from Serge Ibaka.
The Cleveland Cavaliers maintained their good form against the Oklahoma City Thunder, while the Charlotte Hornets won. He scored 33 points, dished 11 assists, and grabbed nine rebounds.
Tristan Thompson had 12 points and 15 rebounds for the Cavs, including 11 offensive rebounds.
ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst tweeted that Day escorted his wife from the stadium and that she was talking. The lady turned out to be Ellie, the wife of PGA golfer Jason day.
“She squeezed my hand, said she was fine”, James said.
Oklahoma City led by 12 points in the second quarter before the Cavs scored 18 straight to take the lead. “Ellie Day I hope you’re doing okay! Love LJ!” James tweeted.
The Cavaliers started the game on an 11-7 run, thanks in large part to their jump shooting. “That’s the best way I can put it, and he did it once again”.
Cleveland is still without superstar point guard Kyrie Irving, who is still recovering from a broken kneecap suffered in last season’s finals against the Golden State Warriors. Durant finished the quarter with a game-high 14 points.
