Javier Hernandez: Louis Van Gaal Gave Me 1% Chance at Manchester United
There were reports this week that the players had openly questioned manager Louis van Gaal’s tactics after the 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.
According to Neil Custis of the Sun, the Red Devils chief is “losing the dressing room” after a string of poor results, culminating in a 2-1 loss to AFC Bournemouth last weekend.
Mata told the club’s official website in his blog: “In these moments is when we have to stick together more than ever, I do believe it, because – luckily – football gives you another game every few days”.
Anthony Martial has still looked like United’s best attacking threat in recent games, and his ability to cause problems for defenders and score goals will be crucial in the upcoming games against Norwich, Stoke and Chelsea.
However, Hernandez still treasures the time he spent at United and lauded legendary manager Alex Ferguson for helping mold him into the player he is today.
Here Stuart Mathieson looks at what Van Gaal needs to do to save his Manchester United reign from ruin.
The player has been quizzed about his exit from United and revealed that Van Gaal didn’t see a place for him in his squad and told him he could depart.
In his last three appearances Hernandez has managed as many goals (5) as United have scored in their last seven fixtures.
Given all the struggles that United have had, especially so in the goal-scoring department, what Chicharito is doing now really hits home for Red Devils supporters.
Hernandez said: “I didn’t have the intention to leave [on loan] but I wanted more playing time”.
“I had a great time there”. Carlo Ancelotti has already said he wants a job in the summer and has openly discussed the possibility of the Premier League and United, although he’s being heavily linked with Bayern Munich. They are building a new team. So far, his stats have shown that he is better than the strikers of United.
Manchester United players have revolted against Louis van Gaal, who have been linked with transfers for Romelu Lukaku and Barcelona’s Luis Suarez.
“This league is very tough to win and there will be a number of teams who will be in the shake-up for the title”.
