Jay Electronica Takes Shots at J. Cole and Drake at London Show
On Tuesday night (Aug. 18.), Jay Electronica decided to throw a volley of shots at J.
“Jay Electronica is the god of Hip-Hop”, he boasts over the mic. “You may be the Six God, but I am the god”.
Fans are still awaiting a full-length project from Jay Electronica, but given the recent releases of his singles, they’ll surely be in for a treat that’s worth the wait. Cole, saying his Roc Nation labelmate can’t spit bars like he does.
Drake calls himself The 6 God, referencing his hometown of Toronto.
But the words that really got the crowd hyped up was the jab he took at the 2014 Forest Hills Drive creator. In London, the Louisiana-based rapper called out not one but two major players in the game right now. He also ended Skepta’s “Shutdown” early to send a message to J. Cole as well, “I’m sorry but J”. While the younger rhymers have consistently churned out new music, the world is still waiting on Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn).
