Jay Leno Crashed Jimmy Fallon’s Monologue

After Fallon feigned pulling his hamstring, Leno rattled off a handful of jokes at the expense of presidential candidates and the Kardashians. Yeah. The economy is so bad, 50 Cent just changed his name to Nickelback.

Then again, Fallon did take over the coveted NBC late-night spot from Leno after he retired in 2014. Jay departed the show after hosting for about two decades. Comedy Central has two with new “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah and “Nightly Show” host Larry Wilmore. Carson replied that he has cousins who were killed by gun violence in Detroit, and that “as a doctor, I spent many a night pulling bullets out of bodies”.

One of the biggest questions leading up to David Letterman’s final run as “Late Show” host was whether long-time rival Jay Leno would appear to say goodbye.

Tonight he adds “Jay’s Garage” to his resume.

Fallon asked Leno on Tuesday if he’d liked to stick around for the rest of the show, but Leno had other plans. Jay saved the day and made the crowd cheer with his almost five-minute monologue. In fact, if Bernie Sanders wins, he’ll be the first socialist elected president since 2008. “It’s amusing, I always thought Jimmy Kimmel was the (late night) guy that I was going to be close to”, Leno said.

In an interview with Today, Jay Leno spoke about his “feud” with Jimmy Kimmel. The YouTube series consists of hundreds of videos, and more than 1.4 million people subscribe to the channel. “He said Jay is putting his enormous chin where it doesn’t belong”.

Will Leno’s YouTube success translate to ratings success with the CNBC show?

Leno was the host of NBC’s The Tonight Show for 22 years.

The series also will look at the past and future of automobiles and showcase Leno’s famed and extensive auto collection.

This means he had to take the time to remind his fans he is still alive and kicking, and he is ready for a new challenge.
