Jeb Bush Gets Something Off His Chest: “Donald Trump Is a Jerk”
“I don’t think Donald Trump knows the Kurdish people are Muslim”.
That’s the message that filmmaker Michael Moore is sending this week following Donald Trump’s plan to block all Muslims from entering the United States.
“Just one other thing – I gotta get this off my chest – Donald Trump is a jerk”, Bush said to laughter and applause at his town hall Contoocook, New Hampshire.
The inflammatory rhetoric didn’t stop there.
“The idea that he’s actually running for president and insulting people is deeply discouraging to be honest with you, and we should reject that out of hand”, Bush said.
The battle ended without bloodshed, but all agreed that it was truly the biggest jerk-off the world had ever seen. “I gave myself therapy there”.
The former Florida governor harshly criticized Trump on the same day as a super PAC supporting his run for the presidency released an ad that blasts the real estate mogul. The first Republican debate was watched by 24 million viewers, the highest-rated broadcast in Fox News Channel’s history.
“I don’t want Jeb Bush’s endorsement”. The frustration in Bush’s voice was evident throughout the rant. And he’s casting his decision to go after Trump, in part, as a move to save the Republican party. Marco Rubio to carry the party’s establishment mantle.
That, Bush said, is ultimately up to the voters.
Bush followed his “jerk” outburst against Trump by telling his audience: “I feel better now”. New Hampshire is the second state to vote, on February 9, eight days after the Iowa caucuses.
In his letter, he narrated an incident when he met Trump many years ago during a talk show where the now President candidate was all “jittery” and “nervous” about sharing the stage with Moore.
