Jeb Bush is offended by Donald Trump’s ‘ugly’ Mexico comments
Trump issued a statement in response to Bush, a favourite target whose wife is Mexican.
NumbersUSA President Roy Beck, meanwhile, said Trump’s blame is misplaced when he focuses on immigrants instead of policy decisions. “As everybody knows, I never said that all Mexicans crossing the border are rapists”.
Though NBC severed ties with Trump following his remarks, Fox has continued to rally around the candidate and regular network guest – Bill O’Reilly even suggested that Trump was “actually highlighting a problem … that is harming the nation”.
Huckabee said: “What I’ve been doing is focusing on what my own views of immigration happen to be, without weighing in on this battle of whether we’re with Donald Trump or against him“.
Bush was talking to reporters Saturday in New Hampshire, where he leads with 19% in the latest polls and where Trump comes in second with 12% in the crowded field of 14 candidates.
Trump said on Fox and Friends that he was taken aback by the strong, negative reaction. Only Perry criticized Trump’s claim that most undocumented immigrants are drug smugglers or racists.
“I don’t think he understands the challenge”, Perry said.
But he also said, “I certainly wouldn’t have said those things”.
ROGERS: More than 200 supporters came out to see Donald Trump in the wealthy, highly Republican town of Bedford. They crowded around the edge of a backyard swimming pool as he spoke off the cuff for close to an hour.
Meanwhile, another one of Trump’s 2016 rivals, ex- New York Gov. George Pataki (R), is leading the effort to get Republican candidates to denounce the real-estate magnate’s “disrespectful” comments.
Asked about the slaying, Bush agreed that the border needs to be secure and that anyone who commits a crime “should be deported”, chiding what he called “sanctuary cities that encourage this”.
JEFF KASSEL: People are going to have to come out swinging. That’s what America’s always been about.
“We will silence you at the polls”.

Macy’s announced it canceled its Trump clothing line. She says Trump’s outspoken ways seem to be working for the time being. “We’ve made piñatas of controversial people in the past, and we thought it would be a good idea to make a piñata of Trump because a lot of people would like to hit him“. Other retailers are facing pressure to follow suit. The actor speaks of commitment from experience, having been with his husband for 27 years. After losing Univision, he sued the company for $500 million.
Bush at one point fell so far behind while stopping for handshakes and selfies that he and his volunteers had to jog for a stretch to catch up.
