Jeb Bush raised $13.3 million over the summer

Jeb Bush’s presidential campaign raised $13.4 million in the third quarter, an aide told CNN, a haul that could help the former Florida governor quiet concerns about the state of his campaign. Bush’s numbers put him ahead of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen.

“Thanks to smart budgeting and fiscal discipline, Marco Rubio for President started October with more money in the bank than Jeb Bush for President and most other campaigns”, Rubio’s campaign informed reporters in a statement.

On Wednesday, the Bush campaign website removed an insulating beverage “koozie” with Jeb styled in a fashion similar to the SEC logo.

At the beginning of his presidential run, Bush stunned the rest of the GOP field by amassing a $114 million war chest – with more than $11 million raised by his campaign and $103 million raised by his allied super PAC, Right to Rise.

The question for Bush, who has built a formidable campaign with top-flight staff in all the early states, is whether he can sustain it.

In the memo, Diaz minimized his candidate’s position toward the back of the polls, noting that Iowa and New Hampshire voters in particular are notoriously late-deciding. His campaign will file its finance report with the Federal Election Commission later Thursday.
