‘Jedis’ sought for Star Wars screening
It’s really cool to get a behind-the-scenes tour during The Force Awakens’ featurette, but the best part of the short clip is the air of excitement and commitment surrounding the entire team behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens. “If so, Mayor Hull is looking for 10 young Jedis and 1 Jedi Master (and a guest) to join him and his family for a private midnight screening of “The Force Awakens”. Those movies will have the “Star Wars” saga as their basis, but everything else will be different.
It includes some awesome new behind the scenes footage, including the Millennium Falcon they built in England and John Boyega cheekily asking Harrison Ford to sign his Han Solo action figure.
The last time “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill wore Stormtrooper attire, Luke Skywalker busted Princess Leia out of a cell block in the 1977 film, according to the Daily Mail.
Which brings me to the sad reality of the situation: for the people who won’t be going out to see The Force Awakens that first week, spoilers will be unavoidable.
The film is being kept so under wraps that three Star Wars spin-off directors – Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Colin Trevorrow – have said they haven’t seen the film yet.
Rising star Daisy Ridley also revealed she had to update her own regimen in order to get and stay in shape for her role as Rey in the film. “It would probably ruin a vision – J.J. has a vision, and it’s his vision”.
On watching The Force Awakens, he told the Post, “I gotta go to the wedding”.
Some of the Star Wars attractions opened earlier this week at the resort’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. So you can imagine the surprise when none other than the official Star Wars Twitter account appeared to let loose a spoiler on Friday.
