The new Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat is expected to have more power and be quicker than ever before. The exterior is a litany of matte and gloss black accents right down to the special spilt five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels.
Ok, so the Wrangler Backcountry can be had in other colors, too, including Hydro Blue, Black, Bright White, and Granite Crystal. The front and rear bumpers are of the powder coated off-road variety.
Boasting a sophisticated Omaha Orange paint job and black interiors, the Renegade displayed on the Jeep stand in Dubai is the Trailhawk model, a vehicle that delivers Jeep all-terrain capability thanks to its special off-road equipment that includes Jeep Active Drive Low all-wheel drive system and Jeep Selec-Terrain with exclusive Rock mode.
Based on the Wrangler Sahara, the Backcountry both as a two-door and a four-door Unlimited.
The Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens its doors on 20 November 2015, will mark the debut of two new-for-2016, special-edition Jeep models: the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Night and the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry. “The Grand Cherokee SRT Night and Wrangler Backcountry both offer a distinctive appearance, while delivering an array of prominent performance and capability features”. Jeep’s latest creations will be based on the 2016 Grand Cherokee and 2016 Wrangler. On the outside, the SRT Night package adds a gloss black painted roof, a gloss black rear spoiler, a gloss black grille, gloss black b and c pillars, gloss black headlight bezels and satin black badging all around.
The theme continues inside with black leather seats with silver stitching plus a blackened chrome effect on switches and bezels. Exterior color choices include velvet red, billet silver and granite crystal.
The Grand Cherokee special edition will be powered by the standard 6.4-liter V-8 engine, pumping out 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, giving the model a Jeep-estimated 0-60 miles per hour time of 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 160 miles per hour. A dual-pane sunroof, premium audio system, tow package, three-season tires and a full-size spare are optional. Buyers can also specify side steps at no extra cost. A black hard top is standard, but an optional body color hard top is also available.
The Backcountry is basically the purple and pink Jeep of your childhood dreams.
Inside, the special edition features Piano Black vent rings, door handles, and grab handles.
Inside, the Backcountry will feature a vinyl-wrapped console lid and door armrests, leather seat bolsters, a nine-speaker Alpine Sound System and all-weather slush mats.
