Jennifer Hudson’s Half-Brother Arrested Due To Stabbing

Stephen Angelo Simpson, half brother of the Jennifer Hudson, fame of American Idol 3, was arrested by the police on August 19, on the charge of stabbing a man.

Victim is boyfriend of Stephen’s ex-wife

According to Van Buren County’s local CBS affiliate WWMT, Stephen stabbed a man during the Monday night. The incident took place at the apartment of Stephen’s separated wife, which involved her present boyfriend. Stephen, the half brother of Jennifer, barged into the home of his ex-wife and intentionally stabbed the victim, the boyfriend. The injury mainly was spotted on the face, while the entire body was wounded.

Severe wounds

A neighbor, Torrey Hunt, in a statement said that the couple ran to his residence at around 3 am. Torrey also said “He said someone knocked on the door, he thought he was knocking on the door for somebody, and he started getting stabbed up.” While he opened the door he could see blood all around and the guy was stabbed on his chest and chin, while he also suffered severe puncture wound on his arm and chest. Hunt said, “I open the door and see blood everywhere. He was stabbed in his chin and his chest, he had puncture wounds in his chest and his arms and stuff.”

The detective reported

The detective, Adam DeBoer, who is investigating the case, said that Stephen’s ex-wife locked herself in the bathroom until he left the apartment. As per Adam she, “locked herself in the bathroom until he left.” The detective also said it is a clear indication of ongoing feud with the ex. He said, “It appears to be an ongoing feud over a woman.” However, the victim received many stitches in the hospital before getting release.

Stephen has a history of involving in domestic violence. In February he was arrested due to assaulting his wife.
