Jennifer Lawrence Reveals New Details on Her Comedy with Amy Schumer
Oscar-winning Lawrence just shared a few details about the movie she’s co-writing with the Emmy-winning Inside Amy Schumer star.
She also confirmed Schumer’s assessment that the film is “funny”, “dirty”, and “real”. “Amy, in this movie, she has it very together”, said Lawrence.
“Hunger Games” star Lawrence revealed earlier this year that the two were writing a comedy together.
Ever since Jennifer let slip this summer that she and Amy were not just insta-friends but also professional collaborators, we’ve been basically rabid for any additional news about just what they’re up to together. And we’re both very blunt.
While “Trainwreck” received a few criticism for devolving into a fairly traditional heteronormative rom-com in its second act, it sounds like the Schumer-Lawrence project might just be the testosterone-free girl-power team-up we’ve been hoping for. “She works at the airport”.
“I watched Trainwreck and I was like, ‘Yep, we’re made for each other, ‘” Lawrence recalls. “And I’m a MESS”. We both have a similar sense of humour, obviously, and aren’t afraid – which is a good thing and a bad thing, because I don’t know what our movie will be rated. When the interviewer asked Lawrence if she’d invite Hunger Games co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth to join the film, Lawrence replied, “No, no, no, no, no…There’s not really boys in it”. “So we ” ve gotten thru a verystrenuous procedurewithout ever fighting, ’cause we ” re eithervery simple”.
Via twitter site “I reached out and the entiretyjust came aboutso quickly”, Lawrence continued.
Think that about covers it for now.
