Jeremy Renner Teases Active Hawkeye In Captain America: Civil War
The recently released Marvel film “Avengers: Age of Ultron” saw Renner channeling the loner personality of Hawkeye, the actor told Fandango.
Among the wide cast of Avengers that are set to appear in “Captain America: Civil War” is the titular Hawkeye character, portrayed by Jeremy Renner. I can’t speak too much for it. They’re still filming that sucker right now. Following the recent release of the new Marvel film Ant-Man, we already know that we will next see the character appearing in Captain America: Civil War and there has been a lot of rumours about what will happen with the character in the movie. I guess we have a lot decide, but with this information, it definitely leads to a huge realm of possibilities. In terms of that scene in ‘Ant-Man, ‘ I’ve seen some of the ideas people have about it and I would say that whatever you’re seeing on the surface, it’s not as obvious as that.
“Civil War” stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/ Captain America, Robert Downey Jr.as Tony Stark/ Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/ Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/ Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/ Falcon, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlet Witch, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/ War Machine, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier, William Hurt as General Ross, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Paul Bettany as Vision. “It’s nice to be able to continue things and characters that you’ve kind of grown with”.
“… it’s always great to have new faces come in”. I think there’s going to be a lot of new faces coming up in that world.
All of these movies are leading up to the much anticipated ending, the “Avengers: Infinity War” parts one and two; and the Hollywood actor dropped some hints on what can be expected after the MCU phase three as this is when the “Inhumans” have been fully introduced to the universe.
Next year’s big flick from Marvel is said to be part of Disney’s D23 Expo 2015, which will be held on August 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Cinema Blend reported that with Tom Holland officially signed on to play Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the studio is getting ready for his reveal. However, if Renner’s statement is anything to go by he is likely to show a fun side of his character in “Captain America: Civil War“.
