Jerry Jones confirms the worst: Tony Romo is out for the season

Romo struggled in his second game back from injury as he completed just 8 of 17 passes for 82 yards and the three interceptions in the first half. Tony Romo might be out for good with the same injury that sidelined him for seven games. It would be something truly special if he were able to keep the Cowboys offense somewhat afloat without Romo sending passes his way, and he did have a 5/104/1 line a few weeks ago against a Philadelphia Eagles secondary that allowed three touchdowns to Calvin Johnson on Thanksgiving. Linebacker Luke Kuechly intercepted two straight passes, returning the first 32 yards for a touchdown, and setting up a field goal at the end of the half with the second. With Romo done for the season, the Cowboys might start looking ahead to next year, as their franchise quarterback will turn 36 before next season.
