JetBlue network outage causes system delays nationwide
A power outage has disrupted JetBlue’s network, leading to delayed flights across the country.
A power outage at JetBlue’s data center disabled the airline’s network, grounding flights around the country and stranding passengers at airports, the company announced on Twitter Thursday. No incoming flight delays were immediately reported.
Even the JetBlue website went offline for several hours, keeping fliers from checking flight status and booking new travel.
Customers at Boston’s Logan airport were among those affected.
The airline says it is working on the problem and hopes to have it resolved soon.
One passenger at Long Beach International Airport wrote “all systems are down!”
Shares are rising by 2.15% to $20.42 amid a broader market rally following higher oil prices and reassuring comments from Federal Reserve policymakers.
