Jets fans fly ‘cheaters’ banner over Patriots training camp
In all, 10,000 New England Patriots fans turned out for the first day of training camp on Thursday in Foxborough, MA.
On Friday, the second day of training camp, fans screamed for Tom Brady, standing behind their quarterback.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said. But these runners aren’t looking for discount big-screen TVs, they’re looking for glimpses of Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and others.
A reporter followed up by asking if he heard about the plane. The same group was behind billboards seeking to have former Jets General Manager John Idzik fired last season.
“We have to prepare our team for the opener and a 16-game regular season schedule”, said Belichick. “I don’t think it’s very important to our football team”.
“Edelman added: “(Brady is) out here doing what everyone else is doing – trying to get better. “It’s just not on our radar”, he said with a brief stare before the next question was asked.
This wasn’t the first time these Jets’ fans hired a plane to send their message.
The New England Patriots and their fans are irate that Tom Brady’s four-game suspension for his role in Deflategate was recently upheld, but their rivals are reveling in the misery of the Super Bowl champs.
Coach Bill Belichick is not have any trouble blocking it all out. With the ball secured, Brady ran for a touchdown.
