Jilted Naresh Agarwal ditches Samajwadi Party to join BJP
FACING A backlash for his remark on actor-politician Jaya Bachchan, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Agrawal Tuesday expressed regret, but said his comments were twisted by the media. Now on 12 March 2018, When Naresh Agarwal used his grossly vulgar language for famous film star Jaya Bachchan, who became the preferred by Samajwadi Party for nomination to the Rajya Sabha.
In a tweet, Yadav said, “We condemn the BJP and Naresh Agarwal for his derogatory statement against Jaya Bachhan”. He also called Muslim women protesting against Triple Talaq as non-Muslims.
The BJP is pulling out all the stops to deny Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party a seat in the Rajya Sabha, turning the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh into a big political battle reminiscent of the Rajya Sabha election of Congress leader Ahmed Patel from Gujarat past year.
Agrawal’s term in the Rajya Sabha is ending next month and he was expecting a re-election to the upper House.

Agrawal, who has been one of the most vocal critics of the Narendra Modi government and the BJP in the Rajya Sabha in the last few years, lauded the Prime Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah.
Agarwal said, “My ticket was denied for a person who dances in films”.
Lashing out at Agrawal for denigrating a woman, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal had said, “It is sad”.

Yadav also demanded the BJP to take immediate and strict action against Agrawal for his remark, if the party respects women. “This takes the total number of candidates in the fray to 14, with SP’s Jaya Bachchan and BSP’s Bhimrao Ambedkar having already filed nominations earlier”, returning officer Poonam Saxena said.
The BJP asked its two party leaders, Vidya Sagar Sonkar and Salil Vishnoi, along with a Ghaziabad-based businessman Anil Agarwal to file papers on Monday.
