Jim Carrey in Ireland to attend funeral of ex-Cathriona White

Cathriona White, the former girlfriend of the actor Jim Carrey, will be buried in her native south Tipperary tomorrow.

Jim Carrey’s late girlfriend has committed suicide after he chose to call things off with her. Jim who has been in two marriages before, started dating her in the year 2012 and has been in an on-off relation since then.

A stream of neighbours and friends gathered from around 3.30pm outside Ms White’s grandfather’s funeral directors on the village’s main street, to pay their respects.

White’s funeral ceremony is set for Saturday at a parish church in her hometown of Cappawhite, the outlet said.

Ms White’s sister Lisa, and her stepmother Bríd, returned to Cappawhite this week after travelling to LA to repatriate her body.

“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled”, he said.

The actor has paid tribute to the 30-year-old saying he had been hit by a “lightning bolt” after her death. Cathriona trained as a beauty therapist in Ireland before moving to Los Angeles in 2009, where she worked behind the scenes in Hollywood.

The Ace Ventura star reportedly landed in Dublin early this morning and will be attending Cathriona’s funeral service tomorrow.

Ms White’s family also issued a statement last week, describing her as “a shining light in our lives who was loved deeply by her entire family”.

She had a husband, we have a husband as next of kin.
