Jimi Jamison Is No More, the Survivor Singer Passed Away At the Age Of 63
Jimi Jamison is no more! Another legend left the glamorous world for ever. Jimi Jamison, the rock singer of the 80s, who was attached with bands like Cobra and Survivor, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014.
Jimi suffered heart attack
The rock singer’s booking agent said to the TMZ that a day after the Survivor concert that took place at Northern California, the 63 years old singer suffered a heart attack in his residence in Memphis, Tenn.
The team is under shock
The music industry was under shock after such sad incident; especially the Survivor family got tremendous shock. The Survivor’s Facebook page mourned the loss of their team member, Jimi. The entire Survivor family is saddened.
His musical life
Jimi Jamison joined the Survivor family in 1984; two years after the band released their famous “Eye of the Tiger (Rocky-3 soundtrack)”. After his joining the band received some overwhelming appreciation for the track “The Moment of Truth (the track from karate Kid)”. Well, few other famous songs from Survivor, during the presence of Jimi are “The Search Is Over,” “Is this Love” and “Burning Heart,” from the Rocky IV soundtrack.
Jimi’s career with Survivor
The famed singer who performed backup vocals for the group ZZ Top and other acts, also known as the voice and co-writer for the “I’m Always here”, the Baywatch theme song. Jimi left the band in 2006 in order to compose and play his own creation, but afterwards in 2011 re-joined the group and performed at various occasions.
