Jimmy Fallon: Chipped Tooth Is Latest Injury To Late Night Host
“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” airs every weeknight after Channel 11 News at 11 p.m.
The “Tonight Show” host, who mangled his finger pretty thoroughly in late June, has now chipped his front tooth. “Thank you Dr. Jobe DDS!”
Jimmy Fallon proved that he’s still on the struggle bus to recovery after chipping his tooth while trying to open a tube of ointment for his injured finger. Although Fallon joked about it when he returned to “The Tonight Show” July 13, it wasn’t entirely a laughing matter: He said he spent 10 days in intensive care, and was fortunate his finger did not need to be amputated.
Recalling the event on the “Tonight Show” last month, Fallon said that he tripped and fell in his kitchen and that his ring “got caught on the countertop when I was going down, and stuck there and pulled my finger off”.
“The funnyman lamented that he was ‘tweeting with one hand, ‘ also adding that he was ‘drugged” and ‘blessed’.
For a number of weeks Jimmy was been forced to do hosting duties in his cast. It turns out that happened because of a medication he was using for his injured finger.
Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen (pictured in 2013) have been married nearly eight years.
