Jimmy Fallon Lip-Sync Battle With Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and jumped through the Lip-Sync Battle hoop.
Jimmy Fallon countered with a performance of one of the slower tunes from the Top Gun soundtrack, “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” by the Righteous Brothers.
“I do it because it’s entertaining to you all”, Cruise said.
Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync battle with Tom Cruise has since been reported by numerous entertainment outlets including the website, Los Angeles Times.
Meanwhile, Cruise has admitted he is open to reprising arguably his most iconic role by saying he would like to star in a sequel to iconic 80s action movie Top Gun.
Next, Fallon fake sang The Rolling Stones’ “Undercover Of The Night“, while mimicking Mick Jagger’s signature dance moves.
Instead, Cruise belted out Meat Loaf’s Paradise By The Dashboard Light, which he dedicated to the girls of New Jersey. “It’s the song of the summer”, Cruise said, before describing The Weeknd as “enormously talented”.
Tom Cruise has now been promoting his latest “Mission Impossible” installment “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation”, which is speculated to be the very best “MI” installation in the franchise to date.
As was the case with previous lip sync battles, neither the host nor the guest knew which songs their opponent picked to perform.
Fallon yelled, “Come on!” once Cruise finished, looking pained at the thought of following the actor’s successful effort. He grabbed Cruise and the two serenaded one very lucky young lady in the audience.
Common went all out with “I Want You Back” by Jackson 5 and ended even higher with Lionel Ritchie’s “All Night Long”.
