Jimmy Kimmel feeds PB&J sandwiches to Emmy Awards audience
The 68th Emmys, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, airs at 8 p.m. Former candidate Jeb Bush had a cameo in Kimmel’s opening skit, Emmy victor Courtney B. Vance voiced support for Hillary Clinton and Kimmel jokingly called out producer Mark Burnett, seated in the audience, as the man responsible for Donald Trump.
In an attempt at comedy that fell flat, the ceremony announcer indicated that Bill Cosby would be taking the stage. But his banter with Matt Damon and his goofing on Maggie Smith made up for it. “I think it’s changing the landscape, period”, he said.
Paulson is nominated for her portrayal of Clark in the FX series: “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story”. “British people will get that”.
Regina King claimed the award for supporting actress in a limited series for “American Crime”, her second trophy for the program.
The Rams are playing the Seattle Seahawks at the Coliseum.

Bush asked Kimmel if he was a nominee for an Emmy award, and when Kimmel said yes, Bush said, “Wow, what’s that like?”
“I f you want an Emmy you better hop on a plane right now and get your Dowager Count-ass over here”, he joked.
Sarah Paulson, who played former O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark, brought Clark to the Emmys and apologized to her in front of millions for not being kind in the past. “I’m stealing every little nuance she had”.
“Big fan of you, too!”
He told the audience: “Thank you to the BBC who we love above all bakery”.
“He is a complete unsafe monster and any time I can call out Trump for being an inheritor to Hitler, I will”, Soloway said.
“Thank you, Ellen DeGeneres, thank you, Hillary Clinton”, she said, naming two of the famous people she’s caricatured on the show.
Fellow HBO series “Veep” was named top comedy for the second straight year and that show’s star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, won best comedy actress for the fifth straight time and a record-setting sixth time in her career.
An emotional Louis-Dreyfus noted that her father had passed away only a few days before.
The US star fought back tears as she collected the outstanding lead actress in a comedy series award, saying: ” I’m so glad that he liked Veep because his opinion was the one that really mattered”.
Coming largely in the acting categories, underdogs like Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black“), Louie Anderson (“Baskets”), Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live”) and Ben Mendelsohn (“Bloodline”) helped make the program watchable for the better part of three hours.
