JJ Abrams Says “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Was Literally a Back
I wanted to tell a story: “What would happen if you were 19, 20 years old and you found yourself in a Star Wars universe?” “Do or do not.’ And likewise if someone does something very impressive, I’ll turn to them just like Vader and say, ‘The Force is strong with this one'”. We’ve never discussed this before, so he might kill me for revealing this. In the official trailer, viewers got a glimpse of original characters Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), but the there was no sign of Mark Hamill as the iconic character.
According to analyst Barton Crockett (via THR), The Force Awakens is looking at a potential $1 billion domestic haul, along with a further $2.5 billion from worldwide markets. “I’m not saying get used to the future, but what is already happening”. “There are lots of surprises in this movie”. But as the director states, “You don’t have to do that to sell a movie!” They posted videos of their reactions on their Instagram pages in October. This is great news considering Miranda is literally a genius – he did, after all, win a MacArthur “Genius” Grant – and his contribution to the movie will undoubtedly be awesome.
In other Star Wars news, Ford has become the first member of Abrams’ team to suggest he has seen The Force Awakens, which is widely expected to be 2015’s highest-grossing film. “So I’m looking forward to kids seeing this movie and seeing themselves in it”.
“It’s really exciting. The way I think about it is, if I had a little sister I would be so pleased for her to see the film”, said Ridley.
Beyond discussions of race, Abrams has also recently dropped some hints on what Star Wars fans can expect in the new film when it’s released on December 18. Until then, “I don’t worry about saying anything”, Ford says.
