Joan Rivers Passed Away
The Fashion Police Host and the popular Comedienne, Joan Rivers passed away on Sept. 4; Thursday. She passed away at her 81 years of age.
Melissa, daughter of Joan Rivers, confirmed the news of Joan Rivers’ demise in a statement she made to Us Weekly. The statement reads, “It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother, Joan Rivers.” She continued, “She passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother. Cooper and I have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received from around the world. They have been heard and appreciated.”
Melissa said her mother took immense pleasure in making people laugh, and she believed that she and her family will soon return to laughing, although it is totally difficult for the moment.
Joan Rivers was admitted in Mount Sinai at New York City on Thursday, Aug. 28. Her condition was critical as she had been placed in coma that is medically induced.
Melissa had continued providing updates of her mother’s condition. At that she also thanked her mother’s fans and followers for their love and support for Joan Rivers. She told that time, “I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness, and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers.”
Joan Rivers believed ‘Life is great, life goes on.'” And we will remember her words as well as works.
