Joan Rivers Says an Interview Should Not Be an Interrogation
Joan River is really unhappy with Fredricka Whitfield, the CNN anchor who interviewed her recently.
The comedian, River is showing all her anger publicly, though she mentioned that this storming out is not for gaining publicity.
The Fashion Police host seems unhappy these days. After doing a satellite interview with the anchor of CNN, Fredricka Whitfield hit the headlines of newspapers even after three days for the news of her walking out of the set during the interview.
She was later asked whether she did so to get public attention, but the lady denied from it completely saying she has been into this industry since fifty years and never such thing has happened so far. But this time, she got mad on the way she was interviewed, and the Diva told it to a reputed media on Tuesday, July 8.
She was also asked whether it was a per-planned move to leave the stage, and the diva explained, “You’ve gotta understand—when you interview someone, it’s not an interrogation. It’s not the Nuremberg Trials.” She also said that “And [Fredricka] was going at me, like…’Why do you say this?’ and ‘Why do you say that?’
The comedian was found suggesting CNN to hire someone else to conduct their Q&A part because she got mad with Whitfield. She further cracked a joke saying “You don’t say to Oscar Pistorius, ‘When you killed your girlfriend, were you hopping mad?” She said, she was upset because the way she was asked was so negative and during the entire interview she found herself protecting herself. The moment she found the anchor aiming at why she wear fur on the cover of the book, Diary of a Mad Diva, the lady expressed her anger.
