Joel Silver’s assistant Carmel Musgrove found dead during Bora Bora vacation

Silver was amongst a number of celebrities who attended ‘s wedding ceremony to in Los Angeles, then adopted the newlyweds on their honeymoon in Bora Bora. After an extensive search, authorities were called and the body was found on the beach Thursday morning. Authorities believe she drowned but an autopsy is yet to be performed.

Musgrove, from La Mesa, was on the trip to the South Pacific island with her boss, successful film producer Joel Silver, his family and other employees of Silver Pictures.

Musgrove started out as an intern in the film industry, and within six months, she was named an assistant to Silver. She had been working with him for more than three years.

Silver, 63, is best known for his work on Lethal Weapon, Die Hard and The Matrix Trilogy.

The couple, who had been engaged since August 2012, had kept their nuptials a secret by telling their friends they were being invited to their home for an early birthday celebration for the groom.
