Joey + Rory celebrate daughter’s second birthday
Borders, as a fellow musician, was first a fan of the music of Joey + Rory but grew more invested in honoring them once he read about Martin Feek’s battle with cancer and the couple’s faith on Feek’s blog, “This Life I Live”.
In the morning, the country duo posted a video of Rory telling a smiling Indy “happy birthday”.
One of Joey Feek’s prayers was answered this week after getting the chance to see her daughter IN turn two.
Even if country duo and real-life married couple Joey and Rory Feek did not win yesterday’s Grammy Awards for Best Country Duo, the pair is still grateful for being nominated.
Joey and Indy also shared how they spent Valentine’s Day together in a super heart-warming photo. “It’s of course going to be Gruffalo-themed …”
“We will do our best to make it the very special day that it is”, he said.
According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, Joey Feek is very weak and is confined to her hospice bed.
“Rory posted a photo of Joey and IN on Facebook as they commemorated her big day, and wrote: “…some birthdays are more than just birthdays. “So she can watch our little-one eat her cupcake and rip the wrapping paper off her gifts”, he shared. Joey was diagnosed with cancer shortly after she gave birth to her sweet daughter IN in May 2014. “So with all of these plans we have, we will need to adjust for what my wife needs”.
“Fortunately, Joey has made it this far to be able to watch the show”, Rory wrote, explaining that his daughters Heidi and Hope would be going in their place despite Joey’s insistence that he attend. Because the cancer was so advanced, her doctors recommended she undergo a radical hysterectomy, along with chemotherapy and radiation. She moved back to her childhood home in Alexandria, Ind., when she stopped medical treatment in October.
