John Cena Stopped A Match Just To Congratulate A Newly Engaged Couple
According to WWE, fresh off his transcontinental flight from Saudi Arabia, Cena somehow found the strength and wherewithal to outlast Ziggler, apparently still shaken from his split with girlfriend Lana, who is now engaged to Rusev.
Join us in taking a look at the week in WWE TV, highlighted by The New Day getting serious and a couple of Divas turning in the week’s best match. Although he’d eventually lose because #LOLCenaWins, The New Day would continue their newfound aggression by laying out Cena, Ziggler, and the Dudley Boyz, all of whom came to the ring to provide backup for Cena. And what’s next for Sasha Banks as she seems to be on her way toward a possible shot at Charlotte’s Divas Title? He talks for a bit about his love for Chicago and then meets his challenger: Dolph Ziggler. If not, Kofi Kingston of New Day could be his opponent since Cena has gone through Big E and Xavier Woods (via disqualification) already.
So if you’re as keen on pro graps as you are on your boyf/girlf/significant other, and WWE’s broadcasting behemoth that is Monday Night Raw is about to roll through town, why not take your chances and pop the question in the middle of the show? Barrett hit Neville with a Bullhammer Elbow from the outside of the ring, allowing Sheamus to get the pin.
Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring.
Reigns wins the long and physical match by count out when he punches Strowman onto the annonce table, which allows Reigns to zip back into the ring to beat the 10 count. The IC Title has somehow grown silent lately though the win by Owens over Ryback was something that many had not expected. Then, in a surprising move, WWE used real-life happenings to break up Rusev and Summer Rae. Since then, Paige has been distancing herself from her Team PCB stablemates, while Natalya has been slotting in as a replacement of sorts. It was as if Ryback was an afterthought heading into his Intercontinental Championship match against Kevin Owens at Hell in a Cell, despite winning the match. The Authority (over the phone) told him he couldn’t compete in the match, so he substituted in Demon Kane. Rollins ate a Tombstone piledriver and Kane pinned the champion.
Backstage, Seth Rollins complains to Big Show about his match with Kane. Unfortunately, that’s what the first hour of Raw did last Monday night.
