John Cena suffers broken nose in match with Seth Rollins
The injury was serious enough that the match was stopped a couple of times to allow Cena to receive medical treatment.
John Cena suffered what appeared to be a broken nose in his match with Seth Rollins on “Monday Night Raw“. The real damage, however, came when Rollins hit Cena with a knee to the face. Cena immediately crashed down to the canvas under the bottom turnbuckle, clutching his face. They ended up having a fantastic main event match that Cena won with the STF submission hold.
With a broken nose, Bleacher Reports suspects that the fighter will be wearing a face mask in the coming weeks and will refrain from defending his US Championship title until SummerSlam 2015.
A video of the Rollins knee is below with the strike taking place at the 1:05 mark in the video, with a replay shown soon after.
Afterwards, WWE.com confirmed what thousands of fans tuning in already witnessed.
“As you can see on television tonight, John suffered from a nasal fraction”, Dr. Steve Daquino confirmed.
So, Cena went another four minutes with a broken nose and two visits by the ring doctor…
Nobody has ever questioned John Cena’s commitment to WWE.
