John Kerry: Rejecting Iran deal ‘will be the ultimate screwing’
“The ayatollah constantly believed that we are untrustworthy, that you can’t negotiate with us, that we will screw them”, Kerry said in the interview with Jeffrey Goldberg. Out of dignity, out of a suspicion that you can’t trust America.
“I don’t know the answer to that”, he said. “It did not negotiate in good religion now, can be his level”.
“We discussed our shared interests in wrapping up successfully the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, and especially cooperating to combat violent extremism”, Kerry told a press conference here. She is the fifteenth senator to publicly declare support for the deal, and the only New York lawmaker to do so: Four high-ranking Democrats in the House of Representatives from her state have said they will oppose it.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also warned against the deal in a web address Tuesday, saying it could lead to “war”.
Kerry added, “This is in Congress’ hands”.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry walks to a meeting with Philippiness Foreign Minister Albert del Rosario at the Putra World Trade Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Thursday August. 6, 2015. “If Congress says no, Congress will shut that down, shut off that dialog, set this again, and set in movement a collection of inevitable about what would occur with respect to Iranian conduct, and by the best way, the sanctions might be over”.
This is just incredible. And so his anti-deal argument comes down to, “It’ll hurt the Ayatollah’s feelings”. No one who was complicit in the construction of this disgusting deal can pretend they didn’t know this would be an issue. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article. The Congress of the United States promised nothing to Iran. Now that they’re anxious they won’t be able to deliver, they’re scrambling to blame everyone but themselves.
“Today my counterparts and I have discussed the steps that we will take and how we intend to build an even stronger, more enduring and more strategic partnership with particular focus on our cooperative counterterrorism, counterinsurgency, and also on our cooperation in countering the destabilizing activities taking place in the region“, he said.
