King’s inspiring books, mesmerizing speeches, creative leadership of the SCLC, and direction of the civil rights movement won him the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize (the youngest recipient to that date). My dad was so proud.
Their stand soon caught the attention of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
