John Williams greets Star Wars musicians outside home
Celebrities and iconic popular figures have got to be used to elaborate fan moments occurring nearly every day of their lives, but it’s always heart-warming to see a little appreciation for it. John Williams proved to be an excellent sport when two musicians showed up outside his house to serenade him with ‘Star Wars’.
John Williams heard a trumpet and a flugelhorn player playing the Star Wars theme outside his house and made a decision to greet them like the legend he is. However, Michael Miller and 13-year-old trumpeter Bryce Hayashi probably didn’t expect Williams to come out onto his front steps and listen to the duo play all the way to the end of their performance.
It was the first time the two had performed the duet flawlessly, Miller said. He joked that he didn’t think the young lad would be able to hit the high notes-but he did.
Williams has earned himself five Oscars for Fiddler on the Roof, Jaws, Star Wars, E.T. and Schindler’s List. He’s been the recipient of countless awards from AFI, the Academy Awards, BAFTA, Emmys, Golden Globes, and Grammys.
Don’t worry, we’ve watched the clip through and at no point does a bunch of police officers burst onto the scene and open fire.
