Johnny Depp Surprises Children’s Hospital as Captain Jack Sparrow

The internet has been rather charmed in the past by the charitable activities of Marvel Studios’ stars Chris Pratt and Chris Evans, stopping by a couple children’s hospitals as Star-Lord and Captain America respectively.

While dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp surprised the kids of Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital with a joyful, well-welcomed appearance.

The visit was arranged by Juice TV, a children’s television program in Australia, and was meant as a surprise for one young girl in particular who had been sick for a while.

The special meet-and-greet was put together by the Children’s Hospital Foundation. And this is one of the most awesome things we’ve seen in ages.

But he mostly keeps it all in character while they record interview segments, ask questions and take selfies.

Maybe Jack Sparrow isn’t such a bad pirate after all. Even a drunk, clumsy pirate can’t let that one slide. Depp said, while getting a selfie clicked with a child. Nicely done, Captain Jack.
