Johnny Manziel active in game against Broncos despite Monday’s police encounter

The four-page police report states that alcohol was involved and that she had an abrasion on her arm, but it was determined that the injury was from Manziel trying to keep her from getting out of the auto while it was in motion.

Manziel told police he and Crowley had been drinking at about 2 p.m. Monday.

Despite an encounter with police Monday, Johnny Manziel remains active on the Browns lineup and warmed up with the team prior to Sunday’s game against the Broncos.

Manziel, 22, admitted to police he had consumed alcohol before the dispute. When Avon police approached the vehicle, both Manziel and the female passenger, Colleen Crowley, who is Manziel’s girlfriend were outside of the vehicle.

Crowley opted not to press charges, and neither she nor Manziel was arrested for the incident and police let them go. No charges were filed as a result of the incident.

Colleen said that she threw Manziel’s wallet out of the window because the football star had her cell phone and wouldn’t give it back.

A new report says that while the Cleveland Browns aren’t taking any action against Johnny Manziel, the organization has “serious concerns” about his conduct. By most accounts, he’s been a model teammate this year and won his only start last month in place of injured Browns starter Josh McCown. I could see how it may have looked. Manziel also admitted to having two drinks earlier in the day, and Crowley was “impaired”. Anytime anyone sees a guy and a girl arguing on the side of a road they should definitely stop, you never know what that could be.

Police questioned Manziel and Crowley on the side of Nagel Road after witnesses called 911 to report the argument between the couple.

The Browns released a statement Friday saying they had spoken to Manziel about his behavior. That wasn’t the case during his rookie season when he struggled on and off the field, leading to speculation about the first-round pick’s future.

In September, the Browns suspended offensive line coach Andy Moeller after a complaint of a domestic incident with his out-of-town fiancée visiting his home in Berea.
