Johnny Manziel finally spotted, shows up for exit meetings
The Browns are not commenting on a report that Manziel went to Las Vegas on the day before the season finale.
Manziel was back in Cleveland on Monday for his exit interview but did not speak with the media, so he still has yet to give his side of the story, but he is getting mocked on Twitter.
“I’m not exactly sure where Johnny is”, Haslam said Sunday night.
A more stable organization might be able to wait and see if Manziel can conquer his demons. He spent 10 weeks in rehab from January through April 2015.
“So, yeah, there’s a good chance – no matter who the next head coach is – that Manziel has taken his final snap in Cleveland”, said Ed Edholm, of Yahoo Sports. The team also couldn’t reach him by phone on Sunday. “If he has been in it long enough to understand everything, then I am all for it. I am on the side of putting Sashi Brown in charge”.
“We want to get the right person”, Haslam told ESPN. The Browns even tried to reach him by phone, but couldn’t find him. But it shouldn’t matter what it costs.
According to UPROXX, Manziel is hoping to make the move to the Dallas Cowboys, a team that is hoping to land a backup quarterback for Tony Romo, who was injured twice this season.
Manziel has been involved in various off-the-field incidents since the Browns used their first-round pick to select him in the 2014 National Football League draft.
The reports of Johnny Manziel being in Las Vegas are now weirder.
King suggests that Manziel might be trying to “party his way out of Cleveland”.
The Cleveland Browns quarterback missed a meeting with a member of the franchise’s medical staff on Sunday morning and has yet to give a reason why.
Guard Joel Bitonio said he saw Manziel briefly and the two exchanged pleasantries. “I’ll leave it at that”.
Offensive Lineman Joe Thomas said, “I do think the more Mr. Haslam’s around as an owner the more he’ll learn”. This is probably not what they meant.
“He’s his own man, really”.
“He’s coming from Harvard so there shouldn’t be any doubt in him”, said Defensive Lineman Danny Shelton. “I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I just continue to do my thing, that’s all I can do”. But it sounds like they were already moving on anyway.
