Johnny Manziel’s Vegas trip was more absurd than you thought
According to the ESPN radio affiliate in Las Vegas, Manziel was “wearing a blonde wig, a fake mustache, glasses, and a hoodie” when he went out on Saturday night.
After multiple reports surfaced that Manziel was in Las Vegas this weekend, there’s a further report that seems to confirm his whereabouts.
After eating, Johnny reportedly made his way to the casino. John Hornaacek, who was reportedly at the casino, told USA Today that an employee checking Johnny’s ID said “We’ve got Johnny Manziel with us tonight”. Manziel stayed out till 3 a.m. and asked to be comped to avoid using a credit card that would identify him. The Browns just fired their head coach and general manager on Sunday, which means the newly hired leaders will face an interesting task on Day 1. Manziel, who is in the NFL’s concussion protocol, missed a check-in with Browns officials on Sunday morning.
Johnny Manziel in Las Vegas in disguise – Internet mocks QB?
Following the departure of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly last week, 49-year-old Pettine became the first post regular season casualty after they wrapped up another disappointing National Football League campaign with defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I’m not exactly sure where Johnny is”, Haslam said Sunday night.
Twitter had great fun with the report on Manziel. Manziel snapped a picture of himself with his dog, a shot that he claimed he took on Saturday night in Avon, Ohio, that he posted on social media. “You can’t really tell him what to do”.
Whether this report turns out to hold water or not, our only wish now is that Manziel is enough of a troll that he’ll sign with Cowboys and show up to training camp with bleached hair and a nametag that says “Billy”.
Regardless of whether the Browns decide to buy out Manziel or try to trade him, with a new coaching staff and GM coming in and little support from the team’s owner, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be back with the team next year.
LRMR, led by James’ longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter, handles Manziel’s marketing opportunities.
