Johnny Manziel to return as Cleveland Browns starter

It was the seven-game losing streak, the 2-10 record and the way the season has disintegrated.

Manziel, a 2014 first-round draft pick, had been named the starter for the rest of the year after a strong performance in Week 10, but was demoted the last two weeks after lying to the coaching staff about his partying during the bye week. “I felt that we did that”.

Manziel started the season as the Browns’ No. 2 quarterback but got three starts this year with veteran Josh McCown battling injuries. But for some reason, he has not been given more than 2 consecutive starts all season long. He won the second game of the season over Tennessee, but lost badly to Cincinnati and Pittsburgh in November.

Dalton completed 14-of-19 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns.
