Johnny Manziel to start at QB vs. 49ers

Whether it is Manziel at quarterback or Austin Davis, there doesn’t seem to be much that the Browns can do to turn things around over the season’s final four games.

The Bengals (10-2) were dominant from beginning to end and strengthened their hold on the AFC North with four games remaining in the regular season.

According to a report from the sports site TheBigLead.com, a Cleveland Realtor showed up at Sunday’s game with a sign offering her skills to help Pettine and Browns’ General Manager Ray Farmer sell their houses after they’re fired. The biggest indictement on the Cleveland quarterback has been his commitment and work ethic, and the Browns are certainly not convinced that he is their future under center.

Davis completed 25 passes on 38 attempts, throwing for 230 yards.

Jeremy Hill added a 1-yard TD run he punctuated with a leap into the stands for the Bengals, who were never threatened and have now outscored the Browns 98-13 in their last three meetings.

The Browns made the expected announcement Tuesday, two weeks and two games after Manziel had been demoted for his bye week and social media activities and for lying to the coaching staff about what he’d done.

Dalton completed 14-of-19 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

One of those opinions look could be that Pettine doesn’t need to be the head coach past this season.

Later, Marlon Moore went down with a rib injury, leaving Brian Hartline and recently activated rookie Darius Jennings as Davis’ only healthy receivers. After a loss like the Browns suffered, Pettine has unfortunately been placed on in-season fire watch, and while part of this is just the unending wheel of speculation turning, there is no doubt owner Jimmy Haslam is not happy.
