Jolie And Pitt On Screen Together Again
Months before the trailer of “By The Sea” was dropped, we were updated that the movie starring Angelina Jolie Pitt and Brad Pitt is going to focus on a troubled marriage. Directed by Jolie, the movie is set in the 1970s France.
In Jolie and Pitt’s first film together since 2005’s Mr. Midway through, Vanessa thinks about a past interaction with her husband. The couple, who have six children, married in France in 2014.
In one scene, viewers can see Roland asking Vanessa, “Do you hate me?” and she responds, “You know my reason”.
The trailer also presents the track, “It is a flawless way to end the ideal day”, and captures the classic French architecture and décor.
Pitt plays an American writer named Roland and Jolie-Pitt plays his wife, Vanessa. “And at its center are the questions of what happened to Roland and Vanessa and why they are in the place they are now”.
Early images of the film, written and directed by Jolie, are wrought with torment and unhappiness despite the picturesque setting: There are tears, kicking, slapping and a bit of self-medicating.
The 40-year-old actress told People magazine that it was a challenge to be “inside and outside” the scenes she was directing, depicting a couple struggling in their marriage. Most part of the film has been shot in Malta. As they spend time with fellow travelers, including young newlyweds Lea (Mélanie Laurent) and François (Melvil Poupaud), and village locals Michel (Niels Arestrup) and Patrice (Richard Bohringer), the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.
And we should prepare for a whole other can of ‘ how can they be so hot?!’ worms to be opened again- both Angelina and Brad are back on the big screen together, upcoming movie By The Sea.
