Jon Snow Returns in Teaser Poster for Game of Thrones Season 6
The finale of Game of Thrones season 5 leave a bad taste in your mouth? There’s lots of other theories that support this claim (including possible sightings of Kit Harington, the actor who plays Snow, at filming locations). Call it the first stage of grief if you will, but ever since we saw our beloved Jon bleeding out in the snow, the internet has been in a constant stage of denial.
The “Game of Thrones” Twitter account on Monday, November 23, posted an image showing the fantasy epic’s youthful hero bloodied but standing, suggesting that he is very much alive and will return in season six. Recently, it was revealed that “Game of Thrones” would last at least 8 seasons, so if you haven’t seen the wonderful series or haven’t caught up on Season 5 yet, do so now before the show returns in April! I mean… maybe. But it’d be awfully odd for HBO to kick off its entire Season 6 marketing game with an image of a guy who won’t figure into the season beyond a funeral scene.
The poster also appears to debunk rumors that Game of Thrones will be delayed. Now, if Snow will be back in the upcoming season then their are chances that the first few episodes of Season 6 will break all the records. That’s sixteen-weeks of arguing your point that Snow is alive or dead, which Kings may return and which Ice-Walkers will make their debut, so stay warm.
We know nothing about what’s going to happen in the sixth season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. He be dead. Yes… everything I’ve seen and heard and read: “Jon Snow is, indeed, dead”.
Little slips from fellow cast members in interviews have also fuelled the fire, but HBO and the show’s creators have enjoyed toying with fans, always avoiding the question and keeping Harington out of fan events.
Fans of the Emmy-winning show, as well as George R.R. Martin’s source books, have been debating whether Jon Snow, lord commander of the Night’s Watch, had indeed died at the end of season five.
